Lightweight Capture and Lightweight Editor are native Windows apps designed as one local workflow: record a focused window, then trim, reframe, caption, transition, and export the result without cloud uploads or bundled web runtimes.

Lightweight Capture

A foreground-window game and app recorder that runs from the tray, starts from a hotkey, locks onto the focused window, and saves local H.264/AAC MP4 moments.

Record Now gives you a three-second focus countdown.
Game/program detection names clips by title and duration.
System audio, mic, and communications input mix into one clean track.
Optional separate WAV tracks for creators who want post control.
Manage Games adds running EXEs to the local catalog.

A portable native editor for turning captures into polished short-form MP4 exports with non-destructive projects, timeline controls, overlays, transitions, and creator-ready aspect ratios.
